Our admission policy offers priority to catchment areas of Milford, Everton, Key Haven and Lymore, Children who have siblings attending the setting, along with the capacity of the setting to meet the individual needs of the child. The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is used by the practitioners as a guidance to the play, learning and development of the children and used to inform their planning. In addition to the Preschool we offer out of school facilities, in our Afterschool Club and Holiday Clubs for Primary school aged children.
We have an amazing team of highly qualified and committed early years practitioners supporting the children to reach their full potential. The team have on average over 10 years of experience in early years child care and education
Our team are hold many qualifications and attend ongoing training in specialist areas including special educational needs, speech and language development, Makaton Sign language, Pediatric First Aid, Forest School activities, Play work, Positive Behavior Management and Safeguarding. They regularly take part in workshops and networking events with other settings to continue to develop their own skills and share experiences with other early years professionals.
Many of the team have been working with us here for over 15 years enabling them to support our children well beyond their pre-school years. Children often return to our setting when they join after school and holiday clubs, finding it easy to settle with the same familiar faces caring for them. It also means our staff can offer better and greater support to families and siblings starting at the preschool.
